At Global Roast, coffee is more than flavor in a cup — it’s a catalyst for change. We created the HOPE Initiative (Healing Our Past Experiences) because we believe every person deserves a chance to heal, grow, and build a better future.

What HOPE Means

HOPE stands for Healing Our Past Experiences. It’s our commitment to supporting young people — especially those who have faced adversity or involvement in the justice system — by helping them access professional mental health support.

We know from experience that healing begins when someone feels seen, supported, and guided by the right help. HOPE is how we turn coffee into more than a drink — it becomes a lifeline.

Our Mission

Through HOPE, 10% of our profits are dedicated to sponsoring therapy and mental health services for struggling young adults. These are not faceless donations — each sponsorship is a direct investment in a life, a chance to break cycles of pain, and an opportunity to step into a brighter future.

Why It Matters

1 in 5 young adults live with a mental health condition, yet many lack access to care.

Those who’ve been caught in the justice system are even less likely to receive the help they need.

The stigma around mental health keeps too many from reaching out before it’s too late.
